The international virtual conference "War Memories 2020/21" is delighted to welcome (virtually) Nobel Peace Prize LaureatePr. Dr. Denis Mukwege as a Guest of Honour. On Tuesday 22nd June 2021, Pr. Dr. Mukwege will deliver a speech entitled Le viol comme arme de guerre en République Démocratique du Congo: De la prise en charge holistique à la justice transitionnelle. His talk will be completed with a round table with:

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
In 2020/2021, to mark the tenth anniversary of the active and fruitful collaboration on the theme of war memories, our research groups – ACE (Rennes), 3L.AM (Le Mans), and the Royal Military College of Canada (Kingston, Ontario), assisted by an international scientific committee (Australia, Canada, France, India, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America...) – would like to offer researchers and members of civil society the opportunity to participate in workshop discussions on the subject of sexual violence and abuse perpetuated as a weapon of war, and on the fate of children in wartime.
Given the ongoing sanitary crisis, the conference will be heald online (virtual conference).

CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 CRISIS - CONFERENCE UPDATE
Given the ongoing sanitary crisis, the Warmem 2020 Organizing Committee has made the decision to postpone the conference to June 2021 (virtual conference).
Our thoughts go to those who are affected by the virus, and to those who are fighting on the frontline against the pandemic.
PUBLICATION AFTER THE CONFERENCE
After the Conference, and by the end of June 2020, we invite you to submit a written version of your conference paper which will be considered for inclusion in the peer-reviewed selection of articles to be published, we hope, in 2022.
